Fujitsu LifeBook N3510 reviews

PC Magazine have a Fujitsu LifeBook N3510 review and writes:

Worried that your new multimedia notebook will be outdated in six months? The Fujitsu LifeBook N3510 safeguards against this fear by including some of the hottest new technologies currently available, such as Intel’s new Centrino processor and an Express Card 34/54 slot. It also hits the media sweet spot with a TV tuner, a 15.4-inch screen, and for the first time in a notebook, a dual-layer DVD writer…Another reason you should seriously consider the N3510 is the dual-layer DVD writer, which provides an extra layer for a total storage capacity of up to 8.5GB. The system also includes an ExpressCard 34/54 slot, four USB ports, and a FireWire port.

Reviewed by Cnet Reviews, the Fujitsu LifeBook N3510 notebook receives 6.4 points (out of 10). Appreciated features: the Integrated TV tuner; extremely bright, crisp display; instant-play functionality for TV, DVDs, and CDs; remote control included; solid ports and connectivity.

“The LifeBook N3510 will get the job done for virtually any computing task, including recording and watching TV and DVDs, listening to music, e-mailing, and Web surfing.

The Fujitsu LifeBook N3510 offers a full complement of multimedia niceties, including an integrated TV tuner; however, there are much less expensive options if you don’t care to watch TV on your laptop.”

DesignTechnica also has a Fujitsu LifeBook N3511 review and writes:

Fujitsu has always made nice looking systems and the N3511 is no exception. With its black cover and charcoal grey undertones, the Fujitsu LifeBook N3511 looks like a laptop for the upper class, a Cadillac of notebook systems if you will. But the Lifebook N3511 is not without its design flaws. While the N3511 is an attractive system, it would have been a good idea for Fujitsu to hide the various inputs and outputs that surround the system. A simple cover would have done the job, but as it stands, there is nothing put into place to protect the inputs/outputs leaving exposed to the daily grime. Overall, while the Fujitsu LifeBook N3511 might look like a business system with an executive in mind, it’s ultimately outfitted for media enthusiasts.

Laptop Logic has a 12 page review of the Fujitsu Lifebook N3510 laptop and in conclusion they recommend:

“Fujitsu has built a sturdy, stylish, and overall high quality machine. The Lifebook N3510 has the best LCD screen I have yet to see on a notebook, offering better image quality and color reproduction than other transreflective (glossy) screens. Our configuration offers a nice compromise of performance and value to make for an affordable DTR. The 5400RPM drive is a nice bonus that NONE of the other N3510 configurations offer and the discrete X300 graphics are a nice addition to reduce the burden on system resources.

The average home or small business user will find the N3510 a nice match for their needs. It works well as a part-time desktop replacement that can be moved around a home or office, but isn’t really suitable for any situation that requires more portability. The screen and keyboard will satisfy just about any user, although some will want a higher resolution screen and a larger touchpad. The biggest advantage the Lifebook N3510 has over its competitors is the price tag; at a mere $1,399 USD you can’t beat the performance to value ratio.”
