The Satellite A75-S125 laptop is an affordable notebook for students, home office workers and others who want desktop PC features in a mobile form factor. It incorporates a 3.20GHz Mobile Intel Pentium 4 processor1 538 supporting HT Technology, 15.4-inch diagonal widescreen display enhanced with Toshiba TruBrite technology, a DVD SuperMulti Double Layer drive compatible with current DVD formats that nearly doubles a recordable DVD’s storage capacity in DVD+R format, 40GB hard drive2 spinning at 5400rpm for quick access to stored files, 512MB memory3 and Microsoft Windows XP Home operating system. With a 15.4-inch diagonal widescreen display enhanced with Toshiba TruBrite technology, the product features a 3.33GHz Mobile Intel Pentium 4 processor1 548 supporting HT Technology, Microsoft Windows XP Home operating system, a 5400rpm 100GB hard drive2, DVD SuperMulti Double-Layer drive, instant-on CD function and SRS TruSurround XT technology with virtual surround sound. The estimated single unit price is $1,4494.

“The Toshiba Satellite A75-S231’s ($1,549 as tested) desktop-like build is by no means slim, and it’s certainly not pretty, but it packs in some decent multimedia features. The 3.33-GHz Mobile Pentium 4 548 processor, 100GB hard drive, and DVD±RW drive are especially useful for home video editors.
The screen incorporates Toshiba’s TruBrite technology, which gives it a glossy finish that most movie watchers will enjoy. The full-size keyboard is typing-friendly, and the touchpad is placed right in the middle and not too far back from the keyboard, which we like.”

I love the fact that I can get a powerful computer in such a compact package. The screen and the DVD-RW drive are the highlights of the system, as well as having an ATI graphics chip. Overall I love this Toshiba Satellite A 75 computer and would recommend it to people who want an excellent desktop replacement. If someone was really looking for battery life, I might have to recommend a similar system, only with a Pentium M instead of Pentium 4. For the price I paid (far less than retail), this computer is amazing. At retail price of over $1400 dollars, it’s still a great machine for the money, but it’s not quite the steal I got, so it may not seem as worth the money. In conclusion: the Satellite A75 laptop from Toshiba is a great machine for all performance needs with adequate battery life, unless doing processor intensive applications. Recommended!
