Samsung X50 Reviews

A good Samsung X50 HWM 760 review is coming from Trusted Reviews. They say: “The X50 laptop looks pretty cool, finished in matt silver and a black accent at the front of the lid. The lid is secured by two hooks, but there’s a single catch in the centre, so it’s easy to open with one hand. The screen doesn’t have a high contrast coating, but it does still produce a bright and well resolved image. If you’re looking for a notebook that can be used as your sole PC, the screen on the X50 definitely puts it in the running.

There’s no doubt that the X50 is a great notebook. Samsung has got the balance of great design, solid performance and strong features just right. If you’re looking for an all round, fully featured notebook that doesn’t weigh too much, the X50 is definitely worth considering. However, the Acer TravelMate 8104WLMi offers a slightly better package for less, if you don’t mind the slight weight increase.”

InfoSyncWorld preview of the new Samsung X50 laptop:

Offering Intel Pentium M processors ranging from 1.6 through 2.13 GHz, the X50 comes with a 15.4“ glossy LCD of very high quality and one of two resolutions: WXGA (1280 x 800 pixels) or WSXGA+ (1680 x 1050 pixels). Admittedly, competitors such as Fujitsu Siemens’ Amilo M4438 offer even higher resolutions, but the screen of the model on display at CeBIT was quite frankly an astonishing sight nonetheless.

For powering the display, users will have a choice of either an ATI Mobility Radeon X700 or X600 graphics cards, offering 128 MB and 64 MB of video RAM, respectively. Granted, there are more powerful offerings in the market, but these options should still satisfy the needs of most users. Moving to hard drives, we find a choice of either 40, 60 or 80 GB, and there’s also DVD+-RW for those optically inclined.

Cnet have also reviewd this laptop. The Samsung X50 review states: “the X50 is the one with the screen space in a fairly light package. Offering a 15.4-inch display in a 2.45kg unit is impressive”. The rating is ‘Very Good’ and the good performance and battery life, lightweight for its size and well-spaced ports are appreciated
